Why Mindfulness?

When I was teaching at Episcopal Academy (2013-2015) in my second and last year, I gave a chapel talk on mindfulness. In an incredible time of personal uncertainty, I spoke from a place of humility. That spring, I had decided to leave EA thinking I had landed a job in EdTech, but the job fell through. Standing at that lectern, in need of a haircut, I had no idea what I would do next after that school year. I leaped without a net, yet I had no regrets and things have worked out.
